| David Smythe, impressed with the care he received at the Wound Medicine Center at Martin Memorial, that he made a gift of $500,000 as a gesture of gratitude to the staff who helped him through the healing process. To thank him for his generosity, the facility will be named the David L. Smythe Wound Medicine Center at Martin Memorial.

| Edmund E. Collins has recently been named vice president and chief information officer for Martin Memorial Health Systems. Collins will oversee information technology for the entire health system, including everything from computer networks to telecommunications to many of the technologies used in patient care.
